THE MEDICAL CAMP AT ABERDARE BAPTIST CHURCH, MAIRO- INYA

The Lord's faithfulness was manifest again in today's Medical Camp at Aberdare Baptist Church. I love people and the sight of a crowd makes me feel good. Although the crowd today was of very sick mothers, children and of course a few men, as a team we had an opportunity to expresses the compassion and the love of God to them. The queue formed early and the morning was very chilly. I did not have to apologies to Dr. Greg today because of numbers, we strictly saw 125 patients. We can never thank the Lord enough for the 6 souls that were saved today. Africa needs more medical missions, they leave behind a lasting impact. Most of the patients cannot afford a dose of the cheapest antibiotics or even Tylenol. I have had  many ask me in every clinic we have held so far whether we were treating eye- ailments or distributing glasses. This is a critical area that calls for much thought. Above all what impresses me most is the counseling sessions run by local church pastors and church leaders. The simple plan of salvation is presented and eternal security explained. Many gospel tracts that end up in very many hands and homes are distributed. Information on where all of our churches are located is provided too. Last Sunday I saw a number of people who were visiting for the first time and this was as a result of the medical camp. I take this opportunity to thank Pastor Bradley, the Director Medical Missions Outreach ( MMO), Dr. Greg Waller and his wife Linda, their son, Tim ( a very hard working twelve year old and a good hymn singer too), Mellisa Miller and Ms. Pat Schuessler. This is a wonderful team to work with. They easily get along with the locals and the dishes too. Friends pray for us as we get to the second and final phase of our clinics. Of particular interest to me is that the people may not see the doctor, providers and the rest of us but Christ only and His love for them. Pray for a bounty harvest of souls and that these souls may seek to know the Lord more in a Bible- believing and teaching church. We should not forget to ask the Lord to continue showering His grace upon the entire team as it traverses our region on rough roads and tough conditions. Matthew 5: 6
