It marvels me that Easter is not only a celebration of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as most people know but a time to take very important spiritual instructions too. Look at the following three simply instructions that mean so much in our spiritual life.
1 THE INSTRUCTION NOT TO FEAR - V.5
There are more than 365 "fear nots". in the Bible.That means that there is a "fear thee not"for every single day of the year. On the resurrection Sunday there were many things to fear;
a) the angels
b) the guards
c) the earthquake
d) the empty tomb
Stop that fear this Easter. Fear is the absence of faith.
2. THE INSTRUCTION TO COME AND SEE- V.6
When everyone else wants us faraway from them, the Lord beckons at us and warmly calling us to Himself. There are so many invitations to us from our God." Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" John 4:29 " Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matt.11:28
Humble yourself and accept the Lord's call of salvation, the call to unburden you from sin and heavy burdens. He carried the cross on your behalf, defeated the grave and he can carry you today.
3. THE INSTRUCTION TO GO QUICKLY AND TELL-V.7
When we get to the Lord He commissions us to go and tell. Christians have something to tell. It is urgent and should be told quickly. Let us tell sinners as a matter of urgency that the Saviour of the world is risen, He is alive. Tell this with passion, " they departed quickly.... and did run" v8. Going we must go. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Matt. 28:19
CONCLUSION
This is not only a serious time in our Christian calendar but a solemn one. It is a time to examine your dead areas of life and seek resurrection. It is a time to forgive like Christ did on that rugged Cross. It is a time to choose to obey instructions. It is your day and hour of salvation.
